Lazar from Switzerland

My parents, Jenny (30) and Benjamin (33), and my big sister Dahlia (6) are everything to me. Together we overcome every hurdle. I was born in August 2022 and was fine for the first four months. I went to hospital for the first time in December. Doctor visits followed and my mom fought like a lioness to find out what was wrong with me. After a long back and forth, the result was both sad and relieving.

A geneticist told my mom that I have DNM2 centronuclear myopathy .

It’s the worst for my big sister Dahlia, but she supports me as much as she can. She is the best sister in the world!!! I am also very grateful to my dad for everything he does for me!!! I am so happy to have such a lovely and beautiful family who love me just the way I am! Thanks to ZNM – Zusammen Stark! e.V. my family has grown a lot more!

In May 2024, we went to the ZNM family conference for the first time and it was the most wonderful experience for the whole family.

At last we felt understood, taken seriously, received so much information and were able to exchange ideas with others who feel the same way as we do. “Strong together” sums it up perfectly!
